My girl turns 7 years old today. Seven! I’m not sure how that happened. Caroline is our middle daughter…the one who somehow genetically received my exact personality DNA, along with my love of sparkly shoes. The one whose tenderness makes me smile daily, and whose silliness makes me laugh constantly. My sweet Caroline asked for a surprise birthday party, and she got one! We decided to give her a pink birthday party, it suited her quite well. All day I could hear the words of M’Lynn from Steel Magnolias ringing in my ears: “The place looks like it’s been hosed down with Pepto-Bismol”. And it did, and Caroline loved it. Much like Audrey, we too believe in pink around here, and our party room proved it:

Good night, when are you going to hire yourself out? What a lucky girl our Caroline (such a doll) is to have a Mother like you! I sure wish I lived close so I could come to these parties, what fun! You are a great Mom, my girl! All the children look so cute! Anna Katherine (I hope I spelled that correctly, if not forgive me) but anyway, she is getting so big and quite precious. I could also eat up that Molly, those eyes – WOW! Not to hold back anything from Ella and Thomas – MMMMMMMMMMMMMM! All the extended family and friends were great sports and look wonderful in their PINK! Great job Amy! Spoken like a true Mother and Grandmother!!!
